Week 17: January 10th

FLA

Don't forget to be ready for your oral presentation next week (January 14th).  Here are the guidelines and rubric: Présentation orale.

Students will have a reading comprehension about what they read on the pages 82 to 93 of ''La plus grosse poutine au monde'' Monday, January 13th.

ELA:

Well, as you have all heard the Grade 6 classes will become 3 classes starting Jan 20th. I am excited and heartbroken all at the same time. It was a great pleasure to work with your child this term. This week we have been getting some end of the term testing completed, with a comprehensive spelling and listening tests, but we also had some fun with Idioms this week! Next week, will be similar to this week in the sense of completing small tasks until the move, and once the dust settles (Idiom) with the move, 6.2 will begin with the novel study, Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit.


Math 6

We will continue practicing + - x of decimal numbers and will start ÷ of decimal numbers.  All week, students will practice calculating with decimal numbers.
Students will have a Math Test on Monday, January 20th 2020
on ÷ - + x of decimal numbers.

Social


This week in social we completed our chapter on Local Government and we started the Study Guide. You can also use the textbook if you want to continue at home. The quiz will be next Thursday. I am still working on the Quizlet, it should be ready by Monday night. Next week, we will have some more time to finish the study guide and start chapter 6 on Provincial Government.
