Week 15: December 13th

FLA :
This week, students practiced writing a sentence by adding something everyday so it became more detailed.  They had to look out for the order of the words in the sentence, the spelling and apply the rules of grammar.  Friday, they edited the last sentence by using an editing worksheet. : Je corrige mon texte (2 versions).  They also finished writing their entries for their poutine calendar.  Next week, we will continue reading pages from ''La plus grosse poutine du monde''.

ELA:
Christmas Card Extending Image Assignment:
We will be extending  images from Christmas cards and then writing a descriptive paragraph about them. Students need to ensure they are finishing their images by Wednesday Dec 18th. This will bring us to the Christmas Break! After Christmas, we will begin the Novel Study, Tuck Everlasting, by Natalie Babbitt.  Here are some examples of the working being completed in ELA this week..

Social:
This week in Social we continued on a project in which students had to organize a society on a deserted island. When I started to mark the project, I realize students weren't on the right path. So they will have more time next week to complete their project. When I feel that they are done, we will continue to talk about the Local Government.
