This week, we started to work on chapter 5 : Local Government and we stopped after the quiz was finish marking. We reviewed some questions of the quiz and took note about it. To continue working on this subject and to get a chance to understand the concepts, we started a project and we'll keep doing this next week.
FLA:
We worked on the adjectives and their place in a sentence. Here is the worksheet we did : Adjectifs. Then, they read pages 28 to 45 of ''La plus grosse poutine du monde''. After that, students started working on a short writing activity that will eventually become a few pages of a calendar. Here are the guidelines and rubric : Consignes et grille d'évaluation. We will continue this activity next week.
ELA: We are now finished with our Mystery Short Story and students have handed those in. Students have been asked to bring in old Christmas cards if they have them for Monday. We will be extending those images and then writing a descriptive paragraph about them. This will bring us to the Christmas Break! Where does the time go? After Christmas, we will begin the Novel Study, Tuck Everlasting, by Natalie Babbitt.
