Social :
This week in social we finished our project on the French services that are offered in Calgary. We continued our notes on the provincial government and we started a group project on the 4 different political jobs, the Lieutenant-Governor, the members of the Legislative Assembly, the Minister and the Prime Minister. Next week, we will continue this project. Students can use their textbook or a reliable website like this one : http://www.assembly.ab.ca/pub/gdbook/GuideDuCitoyen.pdf.

FLA:
This week we continued working on the ''discours oratoire''.  Here are the guidelines and the rubric: Discours oratoire.  Students will start presenting on February 18th.  Even if two periods a week are scheduled to work on this project, I would advise students to work some of it at home.  Next week, we will finish the book ''La plus grosse poutine du monde''.

A spelling bee contest has been announced.  If students want to participate, here is the list of word for the spelling bee : concours d'épellation.  The finals will be during the week of March 9th.
